What I Do As A Doula?

←What Doula’s Don’t Do?

I feel what I bring as a doula is summed up beautifully by Ruth Ehrhardt “When a women births, not only is a baby being born but so is a mother. How we treat her will affect how she feels about herself as a mother and as a parent. Be Gentle. Be Kind. Listen”

The support I provide varies from birth to birth and parent to parent. Offering unbiased, evidence-based information from trusted resources so parents can advocate for themselves, supporting fear-free birth…. Knowledge is Power!

I provided physical and emotional support enabling families to feel in control and empowered by using different labour positions, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques. I am a soothing voice of encouragement throughout labour and birth so you can feel comfortable and calm whether your chosen birthplace is home, a midwifery-led unit or a hospital.

How Do You Book Me?

Contact me to book me and, I will get back to you to discuss a suitable time to book an initial free 45 min consultation in a comfortable and familiar setting. It could be a local café, a park or in the comfort of your own home. It’s important to me that you feel relaxed and able to talk freely and have the opportunity to ask any questions. We can both discover whether we are the right fit for each other and if you feel I am right for you, please let me know within seven days of the meeting. On booking me, you will receive a contract to sign and an invoice to pay the retainer. Once I have received both, I then book you in my diary.
